Professional Development Scholarship

Dear HR Colleague,

Each year, SHRM Martin County awards a $500 scholarship to one of our members for their professional development.  The end of the year will be here before we know it, and it’s time to submit those applications!

The qualifications for the scholarship are:

Must have been a SHRM Martin County member, with SHRM Martin County designated as your primary chapter, for the past 12 months; and either:       

    • Have attended 50% of our chapter meetings in 2026 OR
    • Have served in a volunteer role in 2026

The scholarship is designed for professional development endeavors, such as attendance to SHRM National or SHRM Florida conference, college courses related to an HR discipline, or a certification preparation course.  The scholarship is not intended to be used to attend the chapter’s monthly meetings.

The scholarship will be awarded at the first meeting in January 2027 and the scholarship funds must be used in 2027.
